A single picture is worth a thousand words. But sometimes, you want to tell a longer story. That’s what Collage Story is for — to help you share not just images, but experiences. Just married? Tell the story of your wedding day, from makeup to aisle to reception (and cake). MVP? Tell the story of the big game, warm up through victory. Back from vacation? Share the highlights and let the rest of us live vicariously through your tropical getaway. Think of it as a digital photo book (a “scroll collage,” if you will) that just happens to be extremely easy to make. And share. For free.
Okay, but how does it really work? Let’s break it down.
Download the app onto your iOS device from the Apple store. Price: $0.
Adding pictures to your story is super-simple. You can choose images straight from your camera roll, or you can choose images from your Facebook albums.
Let’s say I am waiting in a long grocery line, and I want to seize this opportunity to turn my Facebook pictures from my recent jaunt to Paris into a jealousy-inducing Collage Story scroll collage. I just pick my album (“We’ll Always Have Paris”), and then I can go through and select which photos from the City of Light I want to feature. All of them? Three of them? Three thousand of them? Yes, yes, and yes.
There is no upper limit to the number of photos you can use, except possibly your attention span.
Pictures in the final collage will appear in the order you selected them. (Our algorithm ensures images make the best use of space, which is why you might notice some slight variation, but we promise: our algorithmic tweaks will never interfere with your chronology. It’s your story, after all.)
Once your Collage Story is ready, tell! Text it to a friend. Post it to Facebook. Tweet it. Pin it. Email it. Share it on multiple platforms while still technically in line at the grocery store. Impress your friends. Amuse your family. If your dog had a phone or tablet, we are positive they’d love it, too.
TELL US ABOUT IT
We’re pretty sure we’re onto something here, but we want to know how YOU use Collage Story. Tell us what’s working, what’s not working, and what you wished was working better. Our own story is a work in progress. Help us make it even better by telling yours.
